MANILA, Philippines— Universal Robina Corporation (URC) has secured key recognitions from two of Hong Kong’s leading retail chains, PARKnSHOP and 7-Eleven, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion and localization strategy. 

The most recent honors were presented at the annual PARKnSHOP Super Brands Awards, held in Hong Kong. URC’s International Trading Operations (ITO) team received both the Outstanding Marketing Award and the Exclusive Co-Brand Award. The accolades recognize brands that demonstrate exceptional market performance, consumer engagement, and collaborative growth within one of Hong Kong’s largest supermarket networks. 

URC earned the distinctions following a series of highly targeted product development and marketing initiatives. These included creating tailor-made Potato Chips flavors exclusive to PARKnSHOP, Sour Cream & Onion and Black Truffle, alongside the market-specific launch of Jack ’n Jill Tomato Crunchies.

Earlier in the year, Jack ’n Jill in Hong Kong also took home the Outstanding Sales Performance Award in the Potato Chips and Snack category at the 7-Eleven Top Brand Campaign Awards. 

Attlee Lau, Commercial Manager, and Kevin Chan, Assistant Key Accounts Manager of URC Hong Kong, represented the company at both ceremonies. 

According to Ong, the dual recognitions highlight the value of deep commercial integration. "Our growth in highly competitive regions like Hong Kong relies entirely on the strength of our retail partnerships. By collaborating closely with giants like PARKnSHOP and 7-Eleven, we can co-create value, drive mutual sales growth, and ensure our portfolio remains highly relevant to everyday shoppers," Ong added. 

The 2026 retail honors build upon URC’s long-standing footprint in Hong Kong, which dates back to 1971 with the introduction of Jack ’n Jill Potato Chips. Over the decades, the company’s regional portfolio has expanded to include household snack and biscuit brands such as Beef Crunchies, Roller Coaster, Dewberry, and Magic Flakes.
