From coffee to crunch, URC brands land as top picks among Filipino homes
Four brands from Universal Robina Corp. (URC) have ranked among the Philippines’ most chosen food and beverage brands, with C2 and Nissin posting gains in a new consumers study
Great Taste, C2, Piattos and Nissin earned places in the 2026 edition of Worldpanel by Numerator’s Brand Footprint report, which measures how many households buy a brand and how often they choose it.?
Brand Footprint is Worldpanel by Numerator's annual ranking of the world's most chosen FMCG brands, based on Consumer Reach Points (CRP), a metric based on how many shoppers are buying the brand and how often. It essentially shows which brands are winning at the point of purchase.
“When growth is harder to find, penetration has been the key lever that got the brand winners through. To drive penetration, brands need a laser focus on recruitment to win more shoppers across more occasions. That means being top of mind and the brand of choice, being present where shoppers are, winning at the point of purchase, and capturing more usage occasions” said Mieke Bartholomeus, Strategic Insights Director at Worldpanel by Numerator.
Great Taste retained its position as the Philippines’ fourth most chosen beverage brand, with 317 million consumer reach points (CRP).?
The coffee brand also ranked 14th across all fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands and reached 66 percent of Philippine households.
Worldpanel highlighted Great Taste’s shelf visibility and range of variants, which cater to different coffee preferences and consumption occasions.
C2 ranked 14th among beverage brands with 37 million CRP, up from 33 million in the 2025 report. Worldpanel reported 11 percent year-on-year CRP growth for the ready-to-drink tea brand, which reached 29 percent of households.
C2’s growth reflected its expanding reach across retail channels. Its CRP rose 38 percent in discounters, 24 percent in hypermarkets and supermarkets, and 7 percent in sari-sari stores.?Worldpanel also highlighted the role of larger packs in serving more at-home consumption occasions.
In food, Piattos ranked eighth with 180 million CRP, maintaining its score from the 2025 report, when it placed seventh.
The potato snack brand reached about 73 percent of households. Its penetration through discounters doubled to 5.4 percent from 2.7 percent, extending its reach alongside sari-sari stores, hypermarkets and supermarkets.
Nissin Noodles placed 14th among food brands with 104 million CRP, compared with 101 million in the previous report. Worldpanel recorded three percent CRP growth and household penetration of 51 percent.
The report highlighted increased at-home consumption of Nissin Noodles, supported by messaging around snack time, cravings and convenience.
The results follow recognition for the same four brands in the 2025 report.?
Great Taste also ranked fourth in beverages that year, while C2, Piattos and Nissin appeared in their respective category lists.
